At the northern tip of Lake Tahoe is Kings Beach, one of the more affordable communities on the lake. Kings Beach is known for its outstanding public beach, funky cabins, dining and shopping. Legend has it that this town was named after card shark Joe King, who won the rights to the area in a poker game nearly a century ago.

This community has a little bit of something for everyone with quick access to the lake, ski resorts, golf and more. The North Tahoe Event Center often plays host to festivals, concerts, and community events.

Kings Beach is home to various neighborhoods such as Brockaway, Woodvista, Kingswood Estates and Kingswood West – all are nice areas with good values.
